"You hear laughter breaking through, it makes you want to fart. You’re heading for a breakdown, better pull yourself apart. " - John Cooper Clarke

Out with the old, in with the new.

I wasn’t sorry to say goodbye to 2009 – despite the highs, the lows of the year were pretty dire. I did pretty well with my new year resolution of last year which was to de-clutter, although you wouldn’t say that from looking at the room that I’m in. I emptied my cupboards of clothes I no longer wear which has left me with very little left which can be awkward. The garage got thoroughly cleaned out, the pipes in the house are getting de-gunked since I had the installation of a water softener and the piles of the Twat’s DVDs have been removed from the living room and are now in a box. In the garage.

So that’s an on-going resolution, I think.

Along with that, I also aim to get a job, but as the days go by I feel more and more incompetent and less sure of myself. I can still answer the phone, but all those other skills that I once had aren’t being used making me feel less sure of what I can apply for. I’ll find something – heck, I have 12 months ahead of me. Twelve, shiny, new months which also include the World Cup.

So things aren’t too bad.

Happy New Year everybody – I hope it’s a good one.

    Happy new Year.
Don’t worry it’s like riding a bike, it comes back to you as soon as you get on again… (thinks a bit) You can ride a bike, can’t you?

Sounds like you need some confidence boosting. Goodness knows why. How many bloggers would give their eye teeth to be a published author?
Look in the mirror and tell yourself truthfully you are a very popular talented lady. Just do it!

Oh and though I haven’t read you long enough to go far back in your history even volunteering somewhere for a couple of days(or a couple of hours?) a week may add a skill or two and destress your mind a bit.

    Happy EVERYTHING good, Zoe.

Pat’s right, and I know it might sound corny but here’s what I do…I get the people who like me to tell me things that are good about me…that’s a big hefty boost. Then I start listing things that I like about me, and things that I can do really good, things that I’ve accomplished, and okay, I’ll stop for now…

Hello Darling Zoe! Happy New Year to you and all your family. Hope the back gets better. Have you thought of TENS? Well, I’m sure you’ll have thought of everything.

It’s a lovely snowy day here on Sunday, like something out of a Christmas card, or a painting by Lowry. Every good wish for your health and job hunting!
