I’ve yet to find an ATM in Belgium that is able to swallow my card. They have all worked by spitting the card out before the cash.

In his defence, Belgian cashpoints, are STUPIDLY designed. You have to REQUEST your card back, and they don’t pop it out before your cash like in civilized countries. (by which I mean the UK) But it’s okay, ’cause they play a little film at the beginning telling you to remember your card… Hrrmph. I once blogged about this very thing…

It’s the bank’s fault. They gave him another card after he lost the first few (thousand?). You’d think the bank would know better…..

Oh dear, when I left my card in the machine I didn’t dare tell Bear but had to contrive to borrow his card until I got mine back! Believe me, it’s easily done.. . .
