I feel like I’m at a crossroads in my life and am not sure whether to go straight on, turn left or risk going right. This has been coming on for almost a year now so I think I shall carry on straight for a bit until I meet another crossroads – or get run over.
Reverse is out of the question.

Sorry I can’t lend you a map for that one.
If you can give me the post code of where you want to be, I’ll tap into my wife’s TomTom…
Crossroads get more and more confusing the older you get …… and don’t mention roundabouts!!!!
You mean that there motel near Birmingham?
And, did you see that episode of Doctor Who, I think it was called “Turn Left”?
PS. It doesn’t matter which way you turn, as you will always end up somewhere. So long as the company is good, the path will be the right one.
“Eeny meeny miney mo” has never let me down.
What’s going to happen is going to happen, so whichever way you go is the “right” way. The others were just theoretical possibilities.
They’re all one way streets – as you say, reverse isn’t an option!
Enjoy the trip, whichever road you choose, and take some good travelling companions with you.
you will choose the one you are ment too
Yogi Berra, the American baseball player known for his ‘Yogisms,” once was quoted as saying, “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”
Sounds like you’re doing the same…
Toss for it.
@Mr Nighttime, us there also a yogism saying that he found the knife, spoon ?
Decisions, decisions. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could take each of those choices for a test drive?
My clairvoyance is far from perfect, but I see you making the right choice — and, if not, getting lots of blog fodder and maybe another book out of it!
Whenever you’re called on to make up your mind
And you’re hampered by not having any
The best way to solve the dilemma you’ll find
Is simply by spinning a penny
No, not so that chance will decide the affair
While you’re passively standing there moping
But the moment the penny is up in the air
You’ll suddenly know what you’re hoping
A Grook by Piet Hein – very fashionable in the 60′s and well worth googling.
I find circles generally work best – hope all OK and I’m quite sure the path you need to take will become obvious soon – if not, drink more so that it’s all blurry and just fall over and crawl in whichever direction you land Lx
Eeny meeny miney mo helped me when I was doing maths for Common Entrance. I failed maths but at least I answered all the questions.
Every time I start to panic, I know it’s because I’m at some dratted crossroad. Then I know it’s time to sit down and write that list of goals and stuff I need to do to reach those goals. Argh, I’m panicking.
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
from “The Road Less Taken.” by Robert Frost.
Sit quiet and think and do what GG says.
Check out the road signs but whatever you do don’t fall in the potholes.
Listen to your gut. Then take a big breath and jump. You will land where you were meant to be. Take care…
Are you in your late 30′s? In that case, it’s just your mid-life crisis. We have it earlier than men, because we’re so advanced.
Shut up, men. We are.
Is it that you are unhappy in your present circumstances? If so don’t go straight on for too much longer.
